Elijah and Alessa grew up to children. Both were perma plat within the first 3 days of being children, thanks to a constant platinum aspiration meter. Both will be maxed in skills before they age to teen - they were maxed on mechanical and creativity from the activity table when they grew up to child. They have been drinking Eggplant juice every chance they get and working with skill objects and the Education reward bookshelf.
Eddie busies himself writing novels and has about 9 on the bookcase to discuss. Carter has spent every possible minute since retirement working at the robot station. He stops only for an occasional recharge in the Energizer and goes right back. Shortly before the end of Fall, he made the first Servo that I have ever had (without cheating to Spawn one).
Jade maxed out her skills and is in the last section of the aspiration meter, so will perma plat before too much longer. I chose Jade to activate the Servo b/c she was the nicest and neatest sim on the lot (except for Elijah who has 9 in both, I think, but he can't activate a Servo and I didn't want to wait for him to grow up). Jade also finally got a job in Oceanography and is currently a Dive Master.
The Servo, Rosie (named after Rosie on the Jetson's) has all skills and Jade's personality. I'm not sure if all Servos are activated with maxed skills or it if was b/c Jade has all skills when she activated her. She also has a Silver flower arranging badge and a Bronze sewing badge.
That's about it for Carter's household. I'm off to play Marcel's family now.

I cannot imagine how you do it. I take my babies to the cake the same evening they are announced "1 day left". Within a couple hours they are platinum, and stay there until they grow up by themselves. They learn to talk, walk, use the potty and sing, but they are not even halfway to permaplat when they become children, and it goes slower from there. I still don't have any sim fill their lifetime bar as teens, much less children.
Regarding servos: They get the skills of the activator, neither more nor less, but random badges. That never made sense to me, since badges really are like advanced skills. I guess it was to make it interesting to set up a business with servos instead of hired sims: Servos came with the OFB expansion after all.
Anyway, I am really enjoying your uglacy! Long may it live!
In this challenge I have been keeping my children skilling whenever they have any free time. Since most kids will roll a want for the next skill in line, it is not only keeping them in platinum, but is also adding to their aspiration meter each time a what in fulfilled. That's the only thing I can think of that is making them perma plat so fast.
I get them their needs benefits first which allows them to skill much longer between meals and sleep, etc. I started working with Eddie early on to get his gold gardening badge and he pretty much only plants Eggplants now.I have been using Eggplant juice for Elijah and Alessa - it fills them up like a meal and they gain a skill point each time. If they aren't hungry I'll let them take one sip then cancel the interaction - they still get the skill point, but it won't make them fat.
I'm glad you are enjoying my blog! I have never been able to stick with it, but I have been looking forward to your comments and its keeping me going. I'm such an Aries - have to have someone praise me :)
Yay more scary sims! I don't know why but those kids scare me. Especially the one with black hair.
I also envy you simming abilities at getting them perma plat so young! I am going to follow your tips for happy sims!
Another great entry!
I am amazed at your getting children permaplat, too. We'll have to see how I do as I make it through the rounds, but so far, my sims aren't doing so good.
Can you tell me about getting the children juices? I can't seem to quite figure it out in my game. Kids can't use the juicer, and if the adult makes it, he drinks it himself. I read somewhere that if you put enough in for so many servings, you can have the adult serve the juice, and then the kids can drink it. Is that how you do it? How many servings do you need to make it? How long does it keep?
Pink - yes Alessa is rather scary. She is going to carry on the ugly,I think!
Robin - about juice. When you have an adult 'serve juice' it is six servings so multiply what it takes for 1 by 6 and stock the juicer with that many veggies. Then have an adult 'serve' and the kiddies can drink it. I always put as many Eggplants in as it will hold, so i'm not really sure how many it takes to be able to 'serve' it.
I'm so proud of myself for getting them perma plat before teen. I don't know how I do it, but I am much more dedicated to their skilling than ever before. I have more platinum sims in this 2 generation hood than in my true propserity hood which has something like 13 houses and 3 generations.
Yeah, Sheri! Keep up the good work. I'm going to try some of your tips, as well. I usually don't give the toddlers the Aspiration benefits, but you've changed my mind.
Melissa - I can't say enough about giving Toddlers the aspiration benefits. It makes a HUGE difference!
Let me know how it goes. It's hard to believe I'm an inspiration to anybody considering how much I learn from others (like Magnus & Robin!).
