I'm starting yet another challenge, however this time it's not a true Prosperity. I'm going to jazz it up by making it a Uglacy Legacy Prosperity challenge. Starting out with one Sim, generated from CAS. Third 'roll' of the randomize button will determine what he looks like (starting with a male so the name doesn't change with the first marriage). The goal is to play through 5 generations and see just how ugly the Simmies are at the end.
I will determine traits like personality and aspiration based on Prosperity rolls. Hair color will stay as rolled in randomization, but style will change to what I like. NOTE: my game has custom defaults for the face structures, skins, and eyes. The Sims in this game will never be AS ugly as Maxis made genetics.
After the founder is established in his house, he will being to hunt for a spouse and create ugly kids. Of course, the spouse will be either the one he has the most attraction with, or the ugliest Sim I see that he will interact with happily. I am not used to playing ugly sims - they are usually my least favorite, so this will be interesting to try.
For the rest of the challenge, I'm going to play by hybrid Prosperity rules. Mainly, I'm starting with only one house, which is a no-no in a true Prosperity. The first-born son will inherit. Any other children will move out and will added to the playlist in order of move. The rest will play out in typical Prosperity fashion.
If you're interested in the official rules of Prosperity, go to the Yahoo group. They are in the Files section updated through Free Time.
Here we go!
Founding Sim:
Carter Uglacy, Pleasure Aspiration, Gemini. Turn ons: Red & Blonde Hair, Turn off: Stink
I'm not starting with the largest 5x5 lot as is usual in a Legacy. Instead, am buying him a starter home which he can add to as his ugly family grows. I got lucky with Carter - he is really rather attractive. His strong jaw and prominent cheeks, however, may not inherit well.
Carter's new home in Torrential Valley:
First item of business - finding a job, then finding a mate!
