Coming of Age

Since my last update, everyone has had a birthday. Carter filled his aspiration meter and managed to get perma plat even without going on 50 1st dates. Sharlene is still 5 points from filling the meter, so I hope I can get her there before she dies. It's still too early to tell how much time she has left from her age meter. I know I have at least 8 days, so I need to spend some serious time on her wants.

Marcel has maxed 4 skills (Mechanical, Body, Logic and Creativity) and is now working on Cooking. All this within his first day of being a teen. He rolled a Family aspiration with Fortune as his secondary aspiration (LTW to marry off 6 kids). Since he was maxed out before aging up, he now has all the aspiration benefits. He's not a bad looking teen, but that nose is pretty atrocious. It's kinda back in his head, but had a hump. He may not be such a pretty boy after all. Still better looking than his big brother, though.

Speaking of big brother…Eddie managed to graduate from Académie le Tour with a 4.0 in Poli Sci. He moved back home with $14K (no $20K handout hack installed) so that was a pretty good influx into the family wealth. Soon after moving home, he called his college sweetie, Jade McArthur, and invited her over. There he popped the big question and she accepted. They threw together a hasty ceremony and invited all of their friends. They had the wedding the same evening in the front yard of Eddie's ancestral home.

It was a wonderful affair and ended with a score of Roof Raiser. As the party guests were leaving the private school Headmaster arrived to evaluate the home for Marcel to be accepted. It seemed like only a formality since Eddie had gone to private school and had done such a wonderful job there.

Eddie and Jade got pregnant the night of their wedding. Jade spent the night in bed resting while Eddie whiled away the hours writing a crime novel. Who needs to work when you can bring in $2248 per book in just one night? However, his desire to reach the head of the SCIA was still strong and he wasn't quite willing to give up the dream yet.

That same evening, Carter reached the top of the Entertainment career and became a Prestidigitator. Now he could retire with a nice pension and spend his days playing with his future grandchildren. Sharlene got promoted back up to Project Leader after getting demoted to Test Subject from a bad chance card.

Sharlene also got a genie lamp and wished for peace and money. Soon afterwards reached max aspiration and got all benefits chosen. Now all four of the Uglacies are perma plat with maxed aspiration benefits. Ya-hoo for me! Now I just need to work on Jade!

At the end of the day, Marcel went off to college. He had managed to max all skills using the Thinking Cap and the bookcase Eddie brought home from his first job as a College Professor (he had to do something until a job in Intelligence became available). Marcel was also able to get enough dance practice in to get a scholarship for fancy footwork. He left for college just 3 days into teen-hood with maxed skills, maxed aspiration and a pocket full ofscholarship money. What the heck is gonna do at college? Maybe he can spend his time gardening like Eddie did and get a gold gardening badge. Or work on friends and get into a secret society. Who knows.
